Dirk Hartung - Executive Director Legal Technology, Bucerius Law School, Hamburg, Germany
Dirk holds a law degree from Bucerius Law School. At CodeX – the Stanford Center for Legal Informatics, Dirk is a member of the Computable Contracts Initiative. He teaches Introduction to Computer Science, Introduction to Data Science and an interdisciplinary software development study project.
Dirk is the Executive Director Legal Technology at Bucerius Law School. He built the school’s technology curriculum and coordinates its technology related interdisciplinary research efforts. He is the Academic Director of its Summer Program in Legal Technology and Operations. His research focuses legal data science, analysis of the market for legal services and the law of the legal profession,
As a business analyst he has written two reports on legal technology and legal operations in collaboration with the Boston Consulting Group. He advises law firms, in-house departments, public bodies and legal information providers on technology and operations related matters. Dirk is a co-founder of the European Legal Tech Association and the Hamburg chapter of Legal Hackers.
