Gloria Sánchez is Head of Legal for Technology, Costs and Legal Department Transformation of Banco Santander, taking care of innovation & legal tech, strategy and efficiency of the legal area.
She commenced her legal career in Clifford Chance in 2004, and after some years advising clients in different transactions, she joined the Santander’s group as in-house legal, where she gained a profound experience in different areas of advice (including M&A, real estate transactions and project finance). She has been involved in various major corporate and real estate transactions in different countries such as Spain, France, Portugal, Belgium, UK, USA, Mexico, Brazil while heading the legal team for the Equity Participations, Real Estate and Portfolio Sales Area at Banco Santander.
She is associate professor at Instituto Empresa, where she currently teaches both at the Law School and the School of Architecture & Design. In the previous years, she was associate professor of corporate law at Carlos III University in Madrid and lecturer in other public and private institutions. She is a speaker of innovation and legal tech in multiple forums, and lecturer in various universities (Bucerius Law School, Esade Law School, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, amongst others).
