ACC Europe Statement on the Coronavirus and the Conference
In light of the growing universal concern due to the recent outbreak of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19*), the ACC Europe Board of Directors continues to monitor the situation closely and to evaluate any new information that becomes available. Our primary focus is to ensure the health and safety of all our attendees.
At this time, no decision has been made to postpone or cancel the ACC Europe 2020 Annual conference, Transforming Legal: Reshaping the Future and Seizing the Opportunities, 17-19 May 2020 in Brussels.
This is a dynamic and fast changing situation and the Board will provide you with a further update in the coming weeks.

Is the ACC Europe Conference going ahead as planned? Yes, currently no decision has been taken to postpone or cancel the conference. The ACC Europe Board of Directors continues to monitor the situation very closely and to evaluate any new information that becomes available. Their primary focus is to ensure the health and safety of delegates, speakers and sponsors and all those attending the event. This is a dynamic and fast changing situation and the Board will provide you with a further update in the coming weeks.
What additional hygiene measures will be in place at the conference? ACC Europe will request all conference venues to ensure that the following is in place:
Increased cleaning and disinfection programme across all high-touch areas.
Staff awareness of personal preventive measures e.g. personal hygiene, frequency of hand washing. distances.
Working with facilities to update their food display practice to reduce the risk of contamination.
Ready availability of alcohol-based hand sanitising stations and tissues.
Signage on-site reminding attendees of hygiene recommendations.
The ACC Europe Board of Directors will consider whether a no hand-shake policy should be implemented for the conference and will advise all delegates accordingly.
Will there be any attendees from high-risk countries present? In advance of the conference we will write to all conference attendees reminding them that the health and safety of all is paramount and asking if they have been in a high-risk situation in order to assess whether their attendance is appropriate and practical.
Will there be medical assistance available? All venues that the ACC Europe is using during the conference will have staff on site who are first aid qualified.
What is the deadline for cancelling my registration? Your registration can be cancelled without penalty up until 15 April 2020.
What is the deadline for cancelling my accommodation booking at The Hotel? Your bedroom reservation may be cancelled without penalty up until 15 April 2020.
